Description
Victoria Ladybird is an acclaimed grief counselor in Dorset, England, with an extra talent—she can communicate with the spirit world. The sudden deaths of her loved-ones force her to meet her most heartbroken and obstinate patient: herself.
When taking her own advice doesn’t work, she questions God’s motives and drowns her sorrows in gin and tonics. As Victoria prays for understanding, her solicitor informs her she has inherited a 1790 Pennsylvania farmhouse, converted into a charming bed and breakfast. But it’s facing foreclosure.
Accepting the bittersweet distraction, she sets out for the States to save her aunt’s labor of love plus the jobs of five loyal employees. Straight away, supernatural occurrences at the B&B grab Victoria’s attention, along with requests for grief sessions from the
charismatic guests. The counselor’s most witty and unnerving patient proves to be an apparition who once lived in the old house. Victoria learns to balance the tasks at hand and come to terms with knowing that as much as life changes—love is constant.
